SausageDogTMH said:Thank you so much @Lou67 , I really did not expect for this outcome but mostly I didn’t expect for the panel to be so understanding and want to actually listen to me. I wouldn’t have been able to attend if it had been face2face as my symptoms have flared up so much so even though I find it difficult to speak on the phone I’m glad it was telephone.XxxHi,I`m glad you got a better award than you were expecting and that the experience of the tribunal was better than you believed it would be.Unfortunately there are many doom and gloom merchants on here who only type negative comments about their experience with DWP / tribunal (despite the fact that most negative attitudes will most likely be down to "home goals" (not preparing properly or not correctly matching conditions to descriptors)).On the other hand, as I hope you`ve seen, there are many helpful people on here who have gone through the same process and offer help and advice to all those who need it.Enjoy the fruits of your labour and I hope it makes your life a little easier for youAndy

Reading through some of the above, I would like to say, I really do love this site. Everybody throws in their experiences. It's friendly. No pressure.

Hi Sausagedog 😀
Thats absolutely brilliant news, well done you 🤩
You can sit back and relax now, job done!
Shall ring my daughter now and share the good news x1 -
Thank you so much for the wonderful replies they have honestly made such a difference to me. I'm hoping to write a post of the pip journey I've had incase it can be of any help to someone.
At the moment it still does not feel real, it's very weird as I'm so used to feeling anxious about it, the anxiety still hasnt switched off kind of thing. Hopefully it will settle down soon, I guess I am just not used to good news 🤣
Thank you all again! Xxx2 -
I am sure your experience will be invaluable to other people going through the same thing @SausageDogTMH. Thanks for keeping us informed.
Hopefully, the anxiety will settle soon. Is there anything, in particular, that might help you to feel less anxious at the moment? Other than becoming more used to not feeling anxious, of course.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you1 -
Hiya @L_Volunteer I’ve had a really bad few days with my Crohn’s disease, starting to feel a little better today but I don’t know if it’s the come down from all the anxiety of the tribunal or if it was just coincidence of how it happened. I think it’s definitely the waiting that gets me anxious as now I have to wait again from what I’ve read online for them to phone me to ask questions before my award starting. So even though I know it won’t be anytime soon I’m very anxious about my phone ringing and how long it is is going to take to sort out etc. I just have to try and get through the next few weeks until my kids break up from school and they will take my mind off of it.0

It can take up to about 8 weeks to put any award into payment and about the same time to pay what is owed. Yes they will contact you to ask a few simple questions, have you been in prison or hospital and that's all they will ask.
