Hi guys..
I've had issues with my eyes for about 4 years now, in November the specialist set the ball rolling to register me sight impaired, which I am now.. I applied for pip in January and I have a phone assessment on the 20th.
I have been to see the specialist again today and he has said die to the acuity and also now the field of vision, he is wanting to change it to severely sight impaired.
He started the paperwork, when I have my assessment shall i tell them this? I know it's about how things affect your daily life and not necessarily the condition.
Would you think you would have a better chance being severely sight impaired?
Rhanks

Hi and welcome to the community
There is no harm telling them in your assessment
I am severely vision impaired as well0 -
Do you mind me asking, do you get PIP? I am currently in full time work but my job is becoming increasingly more difficult to do as my eyes have got so much worse over the last few years.0

Hi
Yes I do get pip but this isn't my only disability I am also an amputee full time wheelchair user diabetic and peripheral neuropathy
Have a look in the pip section on here for guidance . Pip is about your ability to carry out the activities rather than a diagnosis0
