POEM - When does Spring begin.

Just thinking about the snow;

  When does spring officially start

I warned you of the snow,

Mother nature had one more blast

And covered us in snow

Just when the Daffodils and Snow drop

Have pushed their slim heads through

Mother nature gave a blow

And covered us in snow.

I thought it was funny

when I got up at, Midnight

I thought that it was light

and just a cloudless night.

But by the morning rays

that came through all the gaps

I pulled the curtains back

And got a cold, cold blast.

The sight of all that snow, covered every thing

The wind was fierce and echoed that windy blow

It was really chocking it down, those flakes were very big

If I don’t go out, I’ll be stuck in all weekend.

Oh please mother nature, don’t be so harsh on me

Just remember its almost spring time, and the sun will warm the ground

Just let the sun warm up and melt all of this thick snow

And gently blow away winter cold and bring on all that sun.

March the 21st , its official, its spring time yet again

And that’s when the daffodils come out to play

It’s a pity that those plants only last a few weeks

Because, its officially Spring time, winter gone, for another year.

I’ve got my winter PJ’s and the boiler is turned up

I think I can wait a few week, till the summer comes

I got a thick duvet, and a cup of chocolate

And looking out the window,

Now that spring is here…….

    It really is spring.

    It really is spring,

no Doctors have told me so

    The clocks have gone forward,

I’ve lost an hour you know

    They changed at 1.00 O’clock

    My body told me so

It’s a pity that its once a year

I slept for two hours you know

    (And didn’t need to go.)

Does it count if I go to bed, at 3.00 O’clock instead

The sun was up when I got up

Although it was dull and wet

I wonder how many had forgot

I’d like to make a bet

The birds don’t need a clock

Or cows up on that farm

Oh that’s right there’s that chicken

They use that for an alarm.

Warmer days are on their way

the flowers are beginning to bud

and soon there will be colour

    with weeds everywhere on display

Please spare a thought for those

That the seasons do not change

It could be sunshine all the time

    Or even heavy snow.

I’m glad I live in Britain

Where the temperature dose actually change

    So I can take advantage

    Of all those other guys.

    I don’t mind waiting

    to get that hour back

Where soon it will be Autumn

And bring back all that snow.,
