Awaiting PIP review decision

Hello, I stumbled upon this forum after having my assessment in early February (wish I'd found it sooner!) and have been reading members' experience of the process. I've noticed many people who've had their assessments this year are receiving their awards very quickly after being assessed and therein lies my anxiety as I wait to hear from DWP. I received my review form in September 2020, returned it in October and finally had my assessment last month February 2023. I know it could take between 6-12 weeks, but seeing that people are receiving their awards within a couple of weeks (which is fantastic), I'm beginning to worry, particularly as I am now more disabled than I was when I first applied for PIP in 2019, that things aren't going positively. It's having a direct effect on my health; I've stopped using hot water, I've stopped putting the heating on, I'm limiting my diet in case I don't get the award so I can keep going for a little while.
I'm wondering why some are receiving their awards much quicker than others. I wonder if anyone has any insight or thoughts? Thank you.

You can't really compare someone else's timescale to your own. Everyone will be different. Backlogs and each individual case all cause delays. Some wait a couple of weeks, while other wait several, sometimes longer. It doesn't mean anything other than you're still waiting. The timescale for a decision once the assessment report is returned to DWP is up to 12 weeks.2
