Morning all
I received my pip assessment report yesterday and had a good read of it last night. I was expecting mobility as im not at that stage yet. But there are basic errors in the report. for example
She states i wear a hearing aid etc but selects i use no aid for communication where it would be that i wear a hearing aid and 2 points.
Also she states that to do my Physio i need my partners help as unable to position myself etc. but selects on the question i can do it unaided.
She has selected 8 points for personal and 4 for mobility, which is fine but obviously if the errors are corrected it would be 14 points. Is this likely to be picked up while DWP are looking over the report.

Hi,Unless I`m misreading your comments, and my apologies if I am, you don`t combine points from Daily Living and Mobility; they are two separate qualification categories. If you were awarded the 2 points for the hearing aid, that would be 10 points for Daily Living, which would mean you are still only Standard for that. It wouldn`t make any difference to your mobility.I`m afraid I can`t comment on the physio, but someone with better knowledge than I will be able to at some point.Andy0

but there are points not allocated for wearing a hearing aid etcAs I said earlier, I can`t really comment on the physio side because I don`t have that knowledge / experience to see it from various contexts. Having said that, and after looking at the descriptors and taking them on face value:3c. Needs supervision, prompting or assistance to be able to manage therapy that takes no more than 3.5 hours a week. (2 points)
3d. Needs supervision, prompting or assistance to be able to manage therapy that takes more than 3.5 but no more than 7 hours a week. (4 points)
Depending on how many hours physio you complete a week, you could gain 2 points, taking your score to 12 (with the two for hearing aids) which means Enhanced, or 14 which also means Enhanced.I would suggest that you apply for a Mandatory Reconsideration, but be absolutely sure you could qualify for the extra points. Also please note that your score most likely will not change, it does happen, but it is rare. You could also lose points but, again, that is rare.If you do apply, be sure to emphasise that it is descriptor 3 (Managing therapy or monitoring a health condition) and descriptor 7 (Communication) that you are contesting.Andy
