Soul destroying

After waiting 30 weeks from my initial application submission I phoned the PIP line today. After being on hold for what seemed forever I was informed that my claim was disallowed and the decision sent by letter in October. I obviously never received said letter. I don't know whether I'm angry, upset, infuriated or just plain shocked.
I feel absolutely deflated. I didn't even think to request a copy of the report whilst I was on the phone. How long does it take to receive a report.
They advised that a new letter will be issued. From there on Im not sure whether my mental health can cope.
Sorry if it sounds like Im venting.
I suffer from fibromyalgia, anxiety and depression, hypertension and Im recovering after breast cancer.
I live in England.
Sorry. Rant over.

That's not great, what you need to do is 'regroup', do a Mandatory Reconsideration in writing (use the form in the link below), give 'real world examples' of how your conditions effect you most days. Bear in mind that you might have to go the distance with this. Only 23% of MR's are successful, but 73% of Appeals succeed. Make sure you get Proof of Postage. Update the thread with how your getting on.

And a warm welcome from me too @lashy68 :)

I'm sorry to hear the initial decision didn't go your way. I can entirely understand your feelings, having been waiting for so long aside managing your health conditions.

You've been given some great advice already and if you want to access the support of a Welfare representative to take some pressure off the next stage, give Advice Local a visit - entering your postcode, selecting Welfare Benefits from the drop down list and scrolling through the organisations at the bottom of the next screen.

We wish you well with your continued recovery from breast cancer too. Take care and I hope you have a lovely weekend.
