Is There A Change: Radar Key

** The following is a copy of an e mail I am going to send to my local council office. But. I am hoping I can get a quicker reply from this Forum **

Dear Lichfield District Council

On Friday I needed to use the toilet urgently at the relatively new Friary Multi Storey Car Park, with the use of my Radar Key.

I used to use this toilet regularly when I parked my car there. But i now use the bus instead of the car.
Anyhow, I got to the toilet door, got out my Radar key to find there was not the usual Radar lock.  It was a card access  lock, and it had a reader pad (this I am presuming)

What is the procedure here?
Is it another format of access to this toilet, do I have to apply for a card to enable access to this type of Disabled Toilet?
I have never seen this before!

If you could advise on the above, I would be most grateful.

Thanking you

Do any other folks reading this, can you picture this type of lock.
Is this yet another change for the worse?
Is it another type of access.
Thanking you

Hello @oldngrumpy I'm afraid I've never seen or heard of an accessible toilet accessed via card reader, and have always used a radar key.

If you can, let us know when you get a reply back, hopefully soon. I'd be interested to know what they say :)

Hi @Primrose50, Sorry to hear you've had that experience! This is an old post from 2023, so please don't feel that people are ignoring you if they don't reply as some members may have moved on.

I haven't heard about this happening, but that doesn't sound good at all. Where was it that you found they'd changed their radar locks?
