Writing or numbers.

I have heard, lots of times, that an individual is usually either better at either working with words or working with numbers.
What do you think you are best at, or are you one of those rare people who is about the same with both?
I would say I am about equal (rubbish at both
).
In honesty though, I'd say I'm better with numbers. I do try hard with words but when it comes to numbers I don't really have to try, it just comes to me, with words I have to double check what I've written as I often make mistakes.
What about you?

I don't think your rubbish with words @66Mustang as you write well on the forum. I'm better with words as maths I detest2

@Sandy_123 what about algebra...maths with letters...I struggled with that. ha ha.0

What's the point of algebra who ever needs to use it in life? Ohh let me just convert your shopping bill with algebra, said no one ever lol0

I'd love to learn latin0

You might like to try 'Cambridge Latin' textbooks @Sandy_123, they are a nice gateway into learning Latin if you fancy it
I've always loved languages, especially dead ones, myself. I very often struggled with Maths as a child and had to have extra tuition outside of school to help improve, but got there in the end!0 -
For me it has to be writing as I’m so rubbish with numbers. I hated the subject at school with a passion and nothing has changed!0

Yes @Alex_Scope I might look into it1

I wouldn't say I'm good at maths, but, I am okay with arithmatic. I'm okay with words too, but I double, double check both. So 50/50.0

Definitely better with words. I always struggled a bit with maths, but amazed my primary school teacher with algebra; he thought I was putting my hand up for help as usual, but I'd completed the problems before anyone else! I loved algebra, as it was the only thing that continued to like me with Maths. In secondary school, I wanted to learn Latin, which we had to take at GCSE a year before our other exams. For some reason, if you wanted to take Latin, then you also had to learn Greek (tho didn't have to be examined in that). I think Latin is so useful in helping understand the meaning of many words, but the only words I can remember from my Greek lessons were those for 'the north wind,' & 'a judge,' which hasn't proved useful in the slightest!0

Did anyone notice my mistake? Arithmetic!!!0

Some great posts, thank you everyone.
I know a little bit of Latin from doing philosophy. I consider myself more academic than practical but my brother, a tree surgeon, knows far more Latin than me, as he can name most plants and trees by their Latin names.0 -
I'm good with numbers in accounting terms got a* in accounting and good at problem solving accounts
Other maths not that good
Writing good with reports and projects and writing policy but lack imagination to do any creative writing0 -
Numbers for me everytime. I was always good at maths in school and always top of the class. It was always my favourite subject.. crazy i know0

I'm alright with both but can find it difficult to keep track of numbers in my head, so I'll say writing.0
