    Maybe if you just make it clear to them that NOBODY is taking it and it's just going to go to the dump otherwise. Make is clear you've tried to give it to charity and other avenues and this is a last resort.

    Let us know how you get on, I'm oddly attached to this mobility scooter not being dumped now. We (as a society) seem to throw away so much that can still be used.
