Hi, I am writing this to share my experience , I came to this site to find info on how long it will take to receive backdated payments and normal payments of PiP after being awarded it by the Tribunal Court . I found this info very well explained on this site and I thank all the people who provided this info in comments.
I started my PiP claim off in early Sept 2021 and after many assessments and appeals it ended up in the Tribunal court on15th March 23 (10 days ago) . The Tribunal was conducted via video link and it lasted 80 minutes , although rather formal it was pleasant enough experience and not as stressful as dealing with DWP. The result was ,I was granted both components at standard rate and was given a 4 years date before reassessment . I have received 2 letters with the courts decision from the court, but have heard not a peep from DWP about payments or even what the decision is or was. Info I found here is around 8 weeks and I will have to be patient some more. I do think that is outrageous that in the days of digital banking and computers that it takes this much time. So although it is very stressful to keep appealing it is worth it , just try to be patient . I did go to Citizens Advice for help with submissions to the tribunal and I found this service very useful and helpful , although they are somewhat understaffed and overwhelmed by the needs for their services.
I would like to thank the community for supplying the information that I was looking for .

The reason it sometimes takes that long is because DWP have as much chance we do to appeal the decisiion. Before they can do this they must first request the Statement of Reasons from HMCTS. Once they receive this they must find the error in law before they can proceed any further. They sometimes request this but rarely appeal it, if they request it, it doesn't mean they are appealing.3

Congratulations on getting pip awarded. Just wanted to say I also won at tribunal on the 15th march. I called dwp on Friday as I’m driving myself mad waiting and they said they had received the tribunals outcome but a decision had not been made yet and it shouldn’t take to much longer. I’m not sure of their definition of not to much longer though 😂

I am in a similar position, I applied for PIP in July 22 and had my tribunal last week, they awarded me both at the enhanced rate and backdated until July last year. I’ve only had the letter and email from the tribunal, nothing so far from the DWP, I’m guessing from reading so much on here that it will take another two months. I’ve waited almost a year so another couple of months won’t hurt!0

I had my PIP tribunal in the 24th April 2023.
I was awarded standard mobility. I got the decision from the tribunal then and there.
In terms of PIP/DWP... They rang me Monday 15th May to go through some questions and I had a text later in that day to say I have been awarded PIP.
Back pay I'm waiting on still.
They got to back date to Feb 2022.1 -

It takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank once payment is made.
