Hi Everyone, Hope you’re all safe and well.quick query,
I’ve been awarded pip but I’m a little confused about the letter given to me by DWP, I’m hoping you’ll be able to advise me about the dates of my award and when I’ll have my pip review.
So, on the first page of the letter it states I’ve been awarded the standard rate for daily living needs from 5 October 2022 to 13 December 2025
And the standard rate for mobility needs from 5 October 2022 to 13 December 2025,
Now this is where I’m confused about is the second page of the letter.
It states : we will also contact you while you are getting PIP to see if your needs have changed and to look at the amount you get. This will be after 13 December 2024.
The date 13 December 2024 is that when I will have the pip review ? if I’m entitled to get PIP till 2025 why will they contact me on 2024 ?
I have attached below the copies of my letter in which I’m unsure about the dates , please are you able to explain this to me.
Regards,
Haffy

They will contact you after 13th December 2024. Usually it’s about 6 months before it’s due to end. The reason they contact at this stage is to allow for a decision to be made before your PIP is due to end.At the moment there’s huge backlogs for reviews but hopefully by the time you have yours they wait won’t be as long.2
