Being homeless

My son is 29 and has Autism, Dyspraxia and Learning difficulties. He also has a major issue concerning noise. Yet the Council in Warrington seem to think it's fine to leave him on the streets as a Homeless Person.

Hi there. He cannot stay with us much, as my wife and I have a very small 1 bed flat in a Over 55 sheltered scheme. I mostly have to pay for him to stay in the Travelodge in Warrington, which is making us skint to be honest. A quick update. The council have not taken our son off their list for refusing a 1 bed flat which was not suitable for his particular needs. So now he is practically totally homeless.0

Thanks for explaining that, and for your update, I'm sorry to hear this. Was your son on the housing register or waiting list @mal47?
Shelter has advice about when to ask for a review of a council waiting list decision, as well as final offers of housing when homeless, and you can contact them by phone, online or webchat- get help with Shelter here.0
