Warm home discount was paid today.
Was Told would be getting it 6 months ago and today was the 31st of March which was the final day that they said it could be paid until.
makes you think have these energy companies purposely held onto the money they were given by the government only to pay people on last day cos I this the timescale was from October last year until 31st of March which is today.

That is such a horrible long wait, but I am glad you got it paid today!1

I don’t get it anymore because my property didn’t have an energy certificate or something, I was told to phone the housing and I was told they only get them when properties become empty, and I would have to pay for one myself, which I was told was £160, so sadly i5 didn’t get anything this year,0

That’s so annoying sorry to hear that it’s not nice how they have moved the goal posts. I know it’s too late now but when I spoke to advisor on phone that works for gov helpline for the whd told me the EPC isn’t strictly the only thing that qualifies people it’s also the size of property and age of property aswell so I think people in really old buildings were qualifying just on size and age of property if never had EPC.
just to keep in mind for next year.0 -
Hi @Jacksy - as sd100 has correctly replied, you don't need an EPC, it's if you have a qualifying benefit, & dependent on the size & age of the property. Unfortunately some people who previously qualified no longer do so; those that do should have been already notified.
