Health assessment

Hi all
I’ve been invited to attend a work capability assessment which I will be getting my husband to call as I won’t be able to go due to mental health I cannot leave the house. My next worry now is, them coming to my home. I have severe anxiety and severe depression so my house isn’t exactly the tidiest and I know this is going to cause me to worry for the foreseeable. Has anyone had a home visit before and what to expect? I stressed on the form that I cannot leave home.

Home assessments no longer exist and haven't since just before the pandemic. You can change the assessment to a telephone one rather than having to attend in person at an assessment centre.

I do hope that is true. The information they sent with the appt mentions home visits and so did the form UC50 I had to fill out. (I haven’t tagged poppy but just in case someone else is reading).

That information they sent is 3 years out of date. I wouldn’t give incorrect advice, home assessments no longer exist.

Assessments are mostly by telephone, some are video and face to face at an assessment centre.
