How long does it generally take for DWP to inform HMRC of the contributions based ESA benefit ( New Style ESA) received during the past tax year ? On my tax account it is still showing £0 under the PAYE section. Will a P60 be issued ?

I’m not aware of DWP informing HMRC that you’re claiming ESA. You will receive your P60 at some point in the coming months so you will need to inform HMRC yourself.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

When doing a self assessment tax return all taxable benefits such as ESA have to be declared. ESA is recorded as PAYE income on the personal tax account and, I assumed, a P60 would be generated. As I said, £0 is currently showing as received for the tax year 2022/23. I can always add up the payments I have received.

DWP usually send out P60s around May/June.
