My son was getting esa lcw, pip daily living and mobility in October and was arrested and sent to prison  and had to claim universal credit and he gets £334.91  plus housing element and that’s it, he can’t have esa because he hasn’t paid contributions is this right as I get uc £334.91 which is standard allowance plus housing element plus £354 Lcwra  and thought he’d get lcw aswell as standard allowance. Currently a mandatory reconsideration has been sent in to pip as they stopped daily living standard rate but kept enhanced mobility so not sure if he’s so down because of no daily living

As his ESA would have stopped completely while in prison then he will need to go through the work capability assessment again. To do this he will need to "report a changes of circumstances" then click health condition. He will then need to send a fit note within 7 days of that and continue to send them without any gaps until a decision is made on the WCA.

He will not be entitled to the LCW element because his ESA stopped.
