For Income Related ESA a lump sum will be classed as capital. For every £250 or part there of over £6,000 then your ESA will reduce by £1. For anything over £16,000 then entitlement to all means tested benefits ends.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi thank you what do you think  happends if with a  lump sum  you pay off  part of  your  morgage debit straight away  so you  still have no money in the  bank  but less debit thanks
