Good Morning All
Hope everybody is well, just now signed up after reading the forum which makes me feel very humble as there is always somebody out there to help. I am now going to reapply for PIP as I had my allowance taken away when Mr Duncan Smith MP decided to change the old system to PIP and even though I had been awarded indefinitely my appeals kept being turned down. It is now been 10years since I received help which made my life 100% better but my disability has gotten worse over this period of time and I am struggling. When I initially applied Scope helped me complete the forms face to face and I am hoping that they can still help me or point me in the right direction.
Thanks
DA

Hello @DarrenA
Welcome to the community!
Scope are still here to help, you can reach out to our Helpline if you feel you want to talk more privately. You are also more than welcome to ask here and we will help as best we can and others in the community will be able to lend their advice too.
I'll pop your post in our PIP, DLA and AA section of the forum so others can see it.1 -

Good Morning @L_Volunteer. appoint went well now going ahead with my application, just need make a phone call to get my application. Also learnt that as I have not worked since the 27th January due to my disability I can start a claim for New Style ESA

Note that, provided you have a Fit Note to cover the period, you can backdate the ESA claim for up to three months - but it cannot start sooner than the day after any period of SSP ended (if applicable).DarrenA said:..Also learnt that as I have not worked since the 27th January due to my disability I can start a claim for New Style ESA
If you are claiming UC the ESA will be deducted from the UC so will not increase your overall income (but is still worth claiming).0
