    UPDATE !!!

Well after nearly 11 weeks I received my back pay today from DWP for my ESA claim.

Not received my letter yet, so I don't know anything more at the moment.

Also, had my WCA on Tuesday so I am hoping that I will be put in the support group.

I have worked all my life and now illness has hit me so I need support.
    Will keep you update.

Thank you so much for all your help and advise.

As you know, I had my WCA on Tuesday 13th  June.
The lady that did the assessment said that you couldn't give me a time frame for my results.
Just wondering how long anyone else has waited for an ESA result.
    Many thanks.

    Looking for some advise.

I have just received a letter from DWP stating that I am now in the support group until December 2023.

Am I right in thinking that I now don't need to send a fit note in as my letter doesn't state this !!

    Cheers

No further fit notes will be needed. Support Group is also an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise, it has no end date. You will also be entitled to extra money from the 14th week of your claim.

    Hi Poppy,

    Thank you for your message.
I now receive £129.50 per week, however when I spoke to the DWP the lady said that I should receive more than that amount  ?

Also, my letter states that I will only remain in the support group until December  !!

    Many thanks.

The lady you spoke to is incorrect. New style ESA Support Group is £129.50/week. That's the maximum amount you can receive. There's no disability premiums payable for New style ESA. Please also remember that when you ring ESA or any other DWP department, you're speaking to someone from a call centre and not someone from DWP itself.

As i advised, Support Group is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. There's no end date. The information about your payments in the decision letter is highly likely to do with the £10 Christmas bonus. It's nothing to do with your ESA ending on that date.
