Hi, my name is ingit21! Why was I refused road tax exemption at the post office?

My certificate of entitlement for car tax as ran out last year, i have bought a used car went to tax it at the P O &they have refused me. i thought i should have been examined after 4 years but have heard nothing any ideas why this has happened pls

The reason you were refused was because when you change your vehicle you need a new certificate of entitlement. You can't use the same certificate you previously used. If it's PIP you're claiming then you'll need to contact them to ask them to send you another.
