Hi, did you try walking stick? Or is it not enough for you? Just asking, as I have a bad knee, and I could hardly walk, and after some time I told myself, I will buy walking stick, we will see, and it was completely new world to me:-)I couldn't believe how much difference walking stick makes:-)

I bought mine on Amazon, have a look there and look at reviews, someone might mention if it is sturdy enough for a big guy:-) I am sure you will find one, it is worth a try, and they are not expensive, I bought mine for £9 and I am over the moon with it, so you don't have to spend a lot of money. Good luck:-)

Hello @Scarboy5 and welcome to our online community, how are you doing?

You could try applying for a free needs assessment so someone from your local council would come out to assess your needs and look at providing aids or equipment to help i.e. a walking aid. Here's the online link to start the self-referral process.

It might also be worth looking into if you would be eligible for PIP, if you don't currently claim it. To get an award you need to score a minimum of 8 points in either mobility or daily living component - here's an overview of the PIP activities and descriptors for you to take a look at.

Wishing you all the best, and I hope to speak some more again in the future.
