Hi, so I am due to move house next week & I will be moving in with my partner. I move in on the 12th & my assessment period is 17th-16th & I get paid on 23rd of each month. I will be reporting change of circumstances on the 12th. I am on universal credit, LCWRA & pip. When I report change of circumstances on 12th, will I not be paid for this month or will it carry on as normal? Me & my partner will have to make a joint claim so I’m not sure if I will get paid this month or not. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Your UC is based on your circumstances on the last day of your assessment period. This means that when you report the changes on 12th this is before the last day of your assessment period, which is 16th. Therefore your next payment will be based on your joint circumstances with your partner.Whether there's any entitlement will depend on your joint circumstances.0

I can't answer that i'm afraid because i don't know anything about you and your partners circumstances. You won't know for sure until you receive your next statement, which as i advised, will be based on your joint circumstances and not just yours. You can use a benefits calculator and put both your details into it, along with your partners earnings and see what it comes up with. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator
