Help please OCD!

Hello, I hope you are all keeping well, I would kindly like to ask I am currently getting PIP and New style ESA, I have Bi-polar and some other mental health issues, I was also diagnosed with OCD at 21 am now 53, my question is would I be entitled to receive any money for having OCD, am based in Scotland.

    There's no benefits payable based on any diagnosis. You're already claiming a disability benefit, which is PIP. You will eventually be moved to Adult Disability Payment, instead of PIP because you live in Scotland.

    The only other benefit that maybe possible is Universal Credit. As it's a means tested benefit then whether there's any entitlement will depend on your circumstances. If you live with a partner you'll need to claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration.  If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're excluded from claiming.

    Your ESA will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Are you in the Support Group for ESA? If so and you claim UC then you'll be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim.     The only other benefit that maybe possible to claim is council tax reduction but this needs to be claimed from your local Authority.
