Hi
I’ve saw quite a few articles on here where people have received a text to say they’ve been awarded pip before they receive their letter? Is this true?

If it’s a first time claim they do sometimes send a text if there’s an award but not always.0

Hi abbeyv95,
I received a text saying I had been awarded PIP prior to getting confirmation by letter.
Although they did not elaborate or inform at what PIP rate had been awarded.
Hope this answer helps.

If awarded any money that's owed will be in your bank 3-5 working days after payment was made. The majoirty of the time you will receive the decision letter after you receive the payment.

I did get the payment fairly quickly after the text, I can not remember exactly how many days, but it was speedy.1
