Morning all, hope all is good. I sent my pip change of circumstances 21st Jan 23 and had my telephone assessment on the 24th April and today  (10th may) received a letter saying they have the report. Can't belive how long this is taking.

Your claim has been rather quick compared to many other people waiting for renewals/CoC. You should expect a decision to be made within 2-12 weeks.

All local Authorities have their own rules for disabled bus passes so you’ll need to look at the criteria on their website. This link will help with that. https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-disabled-bus-pass

I never said you did tag me. What you’ve read is in my signature asking people not to tag me.

I answered your question in my above comment and put a link for you to check the criteria of your local authority. You need to put your postcode into the link I posted and it will take you to your LAs website.

Not being funny but don't you think I have done all that??? Like I said I went a few years ago and was told I couldn't have it. I was just asking to see if anyone could tell me if I'm entitled to it.

Well I’m just trying to help you!! There’s really no need to be rude.
No one can tell you whether you would be entitled because all local authorities have their own criteria. It’s not a standard criteria nationally.

As Poppy said every local authorities are different.  I can get a bus pass on standard mobility,  but I have no idea if you can.    Try again as things might be different from a few years ago.
I have Enhanced mobility but in my area I can’t get a disabled bus pass based on my PIP award. Where I lived previously I could.

The concessionary scheme is administered by each local authority and can do differences in how they go out of about assessing entitlement. Nonetheless they are, to the best of my knowledge, all subject to the same separate of regulations in the Transport Regulations 2000.
    https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/38/part/II/crossheading/mandatory-travel-concessions-outside-greater-london
    see regulation 146
Some tests are straightforward (such not not medically fit to hold a driving licence) but the test of 'has a disability, or has suffered an injury, which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his ability to walk' is open to the local authority to assess as it chooses.

Thanks, I can't drive as I needed a full knee replacement but they aren't going to do it as I'm on warfarin. So I will just go back and try again. Thanks.
