Hello everyone! I'm just looking for some advice! I had my pip assessment 2 weeks ago (a review of an exciting claim) and today I had a missed call from the DWP, they messaged me saying I had to ring them back before tomorrow! So my husband rings them back and the call just hangs up, and then again and again on option 6! So we tried a different approach and picked option 4 and the bloke on the phone said it's about a backpayment and he puts us through to the right team! Went through the automated security and found out that my next payment is more than what I've been getting the past 4years but then the call hangs up again! If I can't get through from no fault of my own by tomorrow will I lose out on a back payment? And also why would I even get a backpayment when the decision wouldn't of been made until today anyway? And what can I do if they keep hanging up the call? Sorry for all the questions I'm just panicking a bit! Thanks in advance 😊 x

I suspect the call will be asking if you can manage a backpayment. The automated payments line is known to give false information but I suspect your award has gone up, try calling bang on 9am and you should get through straightaway.0

Ok, thank you! I will give that a go! Don't suppose you know why they have put a limited timeframe for me to get back to them? And if being unable to get through will affect anything?0

If they owe you some money they don't usually give a timeframe in which to ring them. They may just go ahead and pay what they owe you in a lump sum. We can really only guess, as bg844 has advised, try ringing them in the morning as soon as they open.
