ESA permitted work query

Hi
I have been in the support group of ESA for the past 10 years or so.
I was offered a part time (10 hours per week) job and my child's school which I accepted and have been doing for the past 3 weeks.

I completed a permitted work form and sent it a few weeks before starting the job but have still not heard back. (Sent mid March)
I'm wondering if anyone has any idea's on if there is usually a delay in getting a response? I wasn't expecting to hear back immediately but the longer time passes I'm starting to worry if my form ever got to them. Hoping it's just the usual delays and I'll hear back eventually?!
I presume you get a letter saying whether it was accepted or not?

Providing you do not earn more than £166/week and work less than 16 hours per week then working won’t be an issue. I’ve never heard of them refusing anyone doing permitted work.
There was another thread here a little while ago and they waited quite a few weeks to hear back.

Thank you for your quick reply, yes I should definitely meet the criteria for hours and pay so will hopefully have gone through OK- just wanted some clarity on how long people waited before receiving their response.
So hopefully as you said someone else recently said they got a reply after quite a few weeks, I will hear something soon perhaps 👍

Unfortunately, waiting times vary for every person @nottoosure so we wouldn't be able to provide you with a definitive answer. Hopefully, you will hear soon though. Please do not hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you with this  :)

I did supported work and in same group of you. I never heard anything after informing DWP until the end of the tax year when I had to confirm I was still working and earning the same amount.

Hi I'm new here and have been off work in the support group for 6 years. I don't even know where to begin to get back to work but am so unhappy not working and am terrified of contraveneing any rules because of being in the support group. I have long term chronic health issues. Where do I start? What is even allowed in the support group that doesn't contravene the rules? Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

There's no limits on the type of work you're allowed to do. Whether it contradicts the reasons why you're in the Support Group then i can't advise on that because i have no idea exactly how your conditions affect you or which descriptor applied to you when you were last reviewed.
