Can one of you beautiful people help me.
I received my last pip payment on 6th April 2023 and career was stopped on 9th April my universal credit still took the ca from my money even tho it was not paid.
I reapplied for ca but don't understand if I will get anything backdated.
My partner MR was successful he now gets daily living standard was on enhanced on both not sure if I can do the tribunal yet.

If you stop getting CA, you just need to send UC and once they have confirmation from CA they will correct your UC.
If there is no financial gain claiming CA if it is deducted when from the UC (although the CA goes given you Class 1 NI credits whereas UC only gives Class 3). You don’t need to be receiving CA to get the carer element of UC (which cannot be included for someone receives LCWRA element).0 -
I'm confused I stopped getting ca and the ca part in uc for over a month now I have won my pip mr do I get the ca back dated to when pip was stopped0

Yes it can be backdated but you'll need to reapply for CA. However, as calcotti advised, there's no financial gain to claiming CA and UC.If it's you that's the carer then providing you're not claiming the LCWRA element of UC for yourself then you can claim carers element of UC, this will increase your maximum UC entitlement by £185.86/month.0

I just want to no if the money stopped from ca why pip was at Mr will be repaid
Reason my partner going to claim carers is to stop uc forcing her to look for work if that makes sense.1 -
As previously advised, the CA can be backdated to the date it stopped. As a carer claiming just carers element of UC there will also be no work commiments. Does your UC include carers element as well?

I'm really confused my last payment was 20th march for ca but uc paid me on 9th of may for not getting ca can you explain how I'll get backdated please sorry in advance0

What do you mean by “CA paid you for not getting CA”
If you apply for CA again then it will be backdated to the date it stopped. If the CA wasn’t deducted from your UC then you will have an overpayment for UC.You didn’t answer the question that was asked a few times. Does your UC include the carers element? (Assuming you don’t claim the LCWRA element for yourself)0 -

Yes but if they claimed CA again then it will be backdated to the date it stopped. Therefore there wouldn't be any need to tell them. (unless they took the payment twice)

DWP can’t stop your award because it’s now in the hands of HMCTS.0
