Phone assessment

Hi I applied for PIP online on the 13th March 2023 for 1st time. Had phone assessment on 16th May 2023, not sure how it went. The Lady I spoke to was lovely thou and very professional so this helped. They told me it could take upto 8 weeks to hear anything but after reading up on here it could take upto 12...Is that right?. I've tryed to call to ask for copy of my report but can't get through. I recieved a text same day of assessment saying they have my report so I know they recieved it. It's just playing on my mind so I think I will join coffee thing on here more. This is a really good distraction and it's nice to know others feel the same as I do.

Once the report was returned it’s up to about 12 weeks for a decision.2

Thought so. Thank you for your reply x0

When does the 8-12 weeks start? I done my assessment on the 25th April but just got a call back on the 17th May to answer couple more. Didn't get a text to even know if they have the report again. So just wondering if it starts from when you do your assessment or from when they get the report. Thank you0

I think it's from when they get the report @sinead7, hope it's not too long a wait for you1

I called pip this morning but couldn't get intouch but this afternoon after 45 mins I got through. Call handler was nice, polite too. I had to change my bank details as I've now got an IVA. And I asked for them to send me a copy of my assessment record. She said I should recieve it within 10 working days x0

It sounds like things were moving in a positive direction for you at the moment @Carla2023, yay! That is, until you received your report with 0 points, of course
Are you going to appeal the decision or do you agree with it? Please don't hesitate to let us know if you wish to talk about this or if there's anything we can do to support you0
