Hi all, applied for pip at the end on March, had my assessment end of April and I have my fingers crossed for a positive outcome as my condition is getting worse and I need to work a 40 hour week to pay the bills, I'm suffering with osteoarthritis and diabetes ii, hoping to be able to reduce my working hours

Hello @sonicx2001 and a warm welcome to the community.

Hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer for a decision on your PIP. How did you find the application process and assessment?

While waiting for the outcome, it might be helpful to explore other possible options available to you. Have you spoken to your job about how difficult you're finding things? Would they consider accomodations or adjustments to reduce your working hours or some flexibility to your needs?

When I called the helpline in March I got through in about 10 minutes, the person on the phone was very helpful and sent me the link to the questionnaire, I filled it all in, then was asked to attend an assessment in person, it took about half an hour and I was out of there, very difficult to judge what she was writing but I was asked to do a few simple tasks and answer a few questions, she seemed sympathetic as I’m 64 and been suffering with pain for the past 10 years

Hopefully, it will go well for you @sonicx2001 - though, I can hear this is very difficult to judge at the moment. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you in the meantime, even if that's just listening  :)
