I received my first payment of LCWRA on the 02/05/23, I put my first sick note on on 25/07/22, I know about the three month waiting period but will I be entitled to back payment after that? I have read in some places that it will be definite and others maybe I’m entitled so I am confused. Can you please help?

It should be payable from December or January depending on when your UC is paid.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Thank you. That’s what I was thinking but because I’ve had a first payment it’s made me think I’m not going to get it ? What do you think ?

Money owed is usually paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it. They first have to recalculate your past statements to work out how much you've received against how much you should have received. You'll then receive the difference between the 2. Once it's done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much and it will then be paid into your bank.Put a message on your journal under the payment section and ask about the money that's owed.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
