I have recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and have been told that I can apply for PIP (as it is non means tested). Please does anyone know the process.
Also with my NHS medical exemption card, can I apply for the Blue Badge?

PIP isn't about a diagnosis. Unless you have a diagnosis of 12 months or less left to live then you will need to apply as normal and fill out the form. For the special rules you'll need a Consultant or GP to fill out the SR1 form (previously known as DS1500. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dwp-factual-medical-reports-guidance-for-healthcare-professionals/the-special-rules-how-the-benefit-system-supports-people-nearing-the-end-of-lifeAnyone can apply for a BB but an NHS medical exemption card will not help with any entitlement. You'll need to go through the claims process as normal with your local Authority. https://www.gov.uk/apply-blue-badge

Hello @Femi007
Welcome to the community!
I am so sorry about your diagnosis, I hope you have great support around you? I see Poppy has been able to answer your query, if you need any help with your application, you can always reach out to Scope's Helpline for support0 -
As poppy says, a cancer diagnosis does not give cause to an automatic entitlement to PIP.
Are you working or worked in recent years? If you expect to have radiotherapy or chemotherapy you get put automatically in the Support Group for new style ESA but you would need to me the other qualifying conditions (meet the NI requirements for 2020-21 and 2021-22 and not be in receipt of SSP).0
