Hi just wanting some advice on PIP
I sent off for PIP on 1st of March
I had my assessment on the 19th and got a “we haven’t made a decision txt on the 15th of May
I still haven’t heard anything and I’m worried it’s a bad sign I’ve waited so long !!!

You can’t speculate anything at this stage. If this is a first time claim then your timescale up to now has been very quick.
Once the assessment report was returned it t can take up to 12 weeks for a decision.0 -
It’s driving me crazy waiting thanks for replying 😊0

Hello @cozmo79
Welcome to the community! I'm sorry to hear you are frustrated with the wait! We have found many people on the community in the same boat. Do you have any hobbies to help keep your mind off things? We play games over in Coffee Lounge is you'd like to join in?0 -
My personal experience is a quick result is a downgrade and a long wait is an upgrade but I’ve read of people getting a text of an increased award within days so in reality anything is possible
the only thing as a just in case is to see if you can find and make contact with a relevant charity for your conditions that could help with an appeal worst case or best case will be able to help next assessment period0 -
And I got my text on the 15th may also (unless you meant 2022?) - sounds like a few of us are in the same boat
if the dwp bulk does assessments it’s possible we may all hear around the same time?7
only a theory0 -
No it was may 15th this year they said I should get a letter around the 7th of June but heard some people are getting txt wether they have been awarded0
-
some get a text but not all
it’s early days though - I’m not going to lie in wishing I was one of those getting a award text in less than a week (though that short turnover seemed to be a couple of months back so that may no longer be the case)
the whole process sucks but many here are either in or have been in the same boat the last couple of years so at least there’s support there0
