hi

ive just recently got my MR to get LCWRA and ive been awarded this.

i spoke to someone regarding it over the phone who said i was eligible for backpay but told me to mention it on my journal. I did so and i was told via my journal im not eligible for it.

when reading my letter which ill attach it says that im getting lcwra from january to april and then my payment assessment from 1st may, so ill receive my first lcwra payment next month.

what am asking is am i eligible for any backpay or not as im being told 2 different things?

The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you first reported your health condition. The LCWRA element isn't paid at all during that time. Your first payment will be next month and you're not owed any LCWRA element.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
