How much hb is taken from you working 17.5 hrs a week earning 225£ a week..

The only way to know for sure is to ask your council's housing department directly. Most support for this online only exists for UC. Temp / supported accommodation was put back onto the older model from UC cause UC is a disaster.
Based on my own experience within temporary accommodation, they won't ask for the full rent, most likely a small portion of it (maybe £40-50).
Regarding the rent cost, housing benefit for temporary accommodation / hostels is notoriously overpriced compared to normal rent costs, in part cause those run those accommodations ask for even more money than private landlords for non-supported. It's vile. -
There should be a calculator for both HB and CT Support on your council's website.
