Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

Hi,

Any advice for me? I’ve been looking for a job since I had a brain tumour removed in 2008 (followed by a 2 year recovery period). I had a senior managerial IT role, both in this company and the two other companies that I have worked for (35 years in all).

After the operation I developed epilepsy and and stimulus overload, including certain types of fluorescent lights and different colours (for example, in supermarkets where both come into play), and memory issues.

In the intervening 13 years I have applied for close to 1,000 jobs, both at my previous position right down to junior IT positions. I have been interviewed for less than five. I’m now in my late 50’s and I despair at ever finding a job.

As I said at the top, I am looking for any advice as to what I should do next.
