Getting PIP and Carers allowance?

Hi all, i wanted to ask if i get carers allowance can i also claim pip for myself as my health has deteriorated over recent years and I've just had to give my part time job up. TIA

There are people that claim both but there maybe issues if your caring duties contradict the reasons why you’re claiming PIP.PIP isn’t about your ability to work. What they look at his how your conditions affect your ability to carry out the 12 PIP descriptors.It always helps to have some understanding of the descriptors before applying. Hi thanks for replying, the reason i get carers is for looking after someone with MH issues so i don't need to help because of any physical needs, but i have fibromyalgia and raynards and lower back arthritis…. Ive give up my job because its too much….0

Whilst I cannot speak for every case or say for sure in your case @Bella03, there are people who receive benefits for physical disabilities and care for people with mental health difficulties/issues. How are you feeling about everything at the moment?0
