Hello, I have been assessed and been entitled to LCWRA my first fit note was on the 6th Feb 2023, and they have sent me their decision on the 22nd may 2023. Would I get extra money ? Or they will not take off my benefit cap as they used to ?
Thank you just a bit confused as the only difference I see in my new payments on UC it's the benefit cap not taken off. Thank you

Your first payment will be either June or July depending on the date you usually receive your money each month. The benefit cap will also no longer apply to you. If they owe you money for that then you will receive this but it can often take quite a few weeks to pay what is owed.0

OK so my next payment where they haven't taken out for the first time the benefit cap it's in June, and the LCWRA would be in July( no clue how much more and I suppose they don't backdate either ? Thank you for your help, you are very supportive.0

I can’t tell you exactly when it’s paid from because you haven’t said what date exactly you usually receive your money each month.
It’s not paid at all during the waiting period which is 3 full assessment periods.0 -
I get paid on the 10th of each month and I realised they have not taken my benefit cap but nothing else has been added, so I suppose I will get paid in July ...or maybe that's the only extra money I get...so confusing.Thank you for your help

That means your assessment periods are 4th to 3rd of every month. You sent your first fit note on 6th Feb, if this was the same date you reported your health condition then this month doesn't count because you reported it in the middle of your assessment period Feb/March.Therefore your waiting period will be March to June.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 4th June to 3rd July and your first payment will be 10th July. No LCWRA element is owed. The benefit cap not applying now is correct and this will apply from the assessment period in which you reported the changes (Feb/March) so they owe you some money for that.0
