Why is this can you not get awarded later on in the day0
-
I think what it is I personally think from my experience and recent dated letters/text s that these texts are preloaded for want of a better word the day before they’re sent out. That’s my assumption from what I’ve read and what I’ve experienced.1
-
For example, I had a text message 8.03 may 26th saying they had not made a decision yet, then on Monday 29th may bank holiday Monday I had a text at 8.06 telling me I had been awarded text when I recieved my award notice on the Friday my pip award notice was actually dated may 26th1
-
Likewise when I had text message on the 12 may to say DWP had received my assessment report, the DWP actually had received it on may 11th0
-
The likely reason is because when a decision is made it takes up to 24 hours for it to show on the system. The following morning when the systems have updated it automatically generates a text message if there's an award for a new claim.

Okay I had the text on Monday morning had my assessment on the 15th May
and they received my report on the 22ND May I have had a copy of My report as I Requested It And It’s Good The Points I Added Are High0 -
It can take up to 12 weeks for a decision to be made after the report was returned to DWP.

Okay I did ring today they told me it was with a Named Case Manager ?0

Case manager is a decision maker. Yes, your file is usually sent to them and put into a pile with all the others once the report is returned.

Yes just hoping it will be decided soon etc do they usually go off the report or not and yes most people after the text seem to get a response pretty soon0
-
Mostly they do but not always.0

gigi77 said:@callum17 with mine they went with my assessors report Barr the award duration the assessor recommended 2 years but I got awarded 30
-
That makes complete sense now you mention it poppy as the award says 3 years but will start review any point from May 9th 2024 onwards which fits .0
-
Sorry 2025 onwards0

Starting to think I won’t get it maybe overthinking my report is good I scored high points just worried with it taking a While0

Honestly Calum I’m no professional and I’m new to this as much as anyone else. But from what bit I know if the system and what other info I’ve read that in the majority of the cases they go with assessors report. I think it would be highly unlikely if you’ve scored high, for the decision maker to decide you get much lower score. The wait is hard, I was forever waiting for my phone to ping just after 8am it consumed me. I totally get how you feel.1

Yup, they mostly go with the report. One of the reasons why it's not usually a good idea to request the report is because exactly this reason.. it makes you feel more anxious.
