Hi

Does anyone have any idea how long i have to wait before requesting a copy of my pip reassessment report from the dwp . I am getting mixed messages . Some say i have to wait for a decision first and i can then request a copy of it  . Others saying a week after the interview . Does anyone have personal experience . I need to get working on my mandatory review i think - so could do with it asap . thanks 😞

Once it’s been returned you can then ring PIP to request it. However, doing so does tend to cause a lot more needless anxiety so it’s not always a good idea to request it. If you do need to go down the MR route then you don’t need to report to do this.

Please also be aware that it’s not the decision letter, it’s a recommendation only.

thanks Poppy . i just prefer the report so i can see the inaccuracies . Been to a tribunal historically and having the report really helped me . For some reason i feel more worried this time and i forgot the timeline of how things happened as it’s been so long since my last review . cheers

I requested a copy of my report a few days after it was sent to the DWP.  This was on 18th May and I still haven’t received it.  Either,  it was lost in the post or the DWP have decided not to send it to me as I haven’t had a decision yet.  I am also interested to know what it contains.  It would save me time if I do have to appeal.

aww i wonder if you should request it again Melanie ? Thats been a while hasn't it . Just in case it helps you decide , I was told a decision for my pip renewal would be within 6 weeks . ( I have been on it a long time though - so not a new case )
I requested a copy of my report from my reassessment and the lady i spoke to said she would put it in the post right then and i should get it very soon - that was yesterday . So it may be worth you phoning again . Really hope you get sorted soon . take care x

Once I received my text from DWP saying they had received my report, I called the next day to request a copy and it came a few days later. I do agree with Poppy though, requesting the report does cause added stress and anxiety.

aww i am sorry it increased your anxiety levels Misszxo - sorry about that . 😞
It’s interesting how we are all different isnt it . I am the opposite for some reason and it makes me feel loads better . I have more time to prepare and i feel like i am doing what i can when i can . We are all just so different aren't we . I was so relieved yesterday when she said she would send it out . Even if its bad news . Just everyone responds differently . I’ve learnt that as i have gotten older 😂. I’m ancient now . I hope you are well anyway x
