Hi, Previously I was receiving ESA, now am about to retire and therefor recently applied for Universal Credit (this is where the fun starts) During these 3 weeks I am being asked to provide details with regards to my housing costs and any additional people living with us (myself and my wife) three times I have supplied the information required but, still I am being asked to provide the same information as if I have not already done so.
My wife who is long term ill has already sent in a FIT NOTE which doesn't run out until middle of September (3 months to go yet) which they have acknowledged but, she is being asked again to provide a FIT NOTE again.
I just can't understand whether some of the staff in the DWP are TRAINEES or just _INCOMPETENT. When I have asked questions about these matter via the JOURNAL, they don't reply and when I telephoned and spoke to one of their staff member, he was not fully understanding what I was talking about.
This is only the beginning, I wonder what it will be like in weeks and months to come.
Another thing, during a recent interview with one of their staff member at the Job Centre Plus, I questioned the wisdom behind the term-FIT NOTE (sick note) and asked who's brilliant idea it was to term a SICK NOTE as a FIT NOTE, I was told that it has come from Central Government (I rest my case)

Hi @Pillartopost welcome to the forum
That doesn't surprise me the fit note coming from central government.
Hopefully things improve for you at the job centre

Hello @Pillartopost
I'm so sorry to hear the process is frustrating you. I remember claiming ESA as everything was changing over to Universal Credit. I was being told by my GP they couldn't give me a fit note because I have a chronic illness and the job centre saying they needed one. Was a nightmare. Citizen's Advice is there for additional support. I'd recommend giving them a call0
