Hi
just wondering if anyone has any tips / advice on how to deal with waiting from the DWP after a tribunal win ?
I don’t have any family or friends unfortunately and a full time carer for my daughter so I don’t have the opportunity to do something for myself to distract my thoughts 💭
I haven’t slept in four nights just getting so anxious and worried 😟
I was ignorant thinking once the tribunal was over and it went ok the worry after a long year of waiting would be over 🫤
I am a “ over thinker / worrier so that doesn’t help !!
any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Finding things to keep your mind active may help. Maybe do some things with your daughter? Are there times throughout the day where your daughter doesn't need help? If so then do things like readings, watch a film or a series, do a puzzle.I don't think there's anything to worry about at this stage because they rarely appeal it anyway.0

Thank you Poppy unfortunately due to her phycosis and depression and anxiety and PD she won’t let me out of her sight 😟 more so at the moment because her support worker is on holiday so she’s struggling with that .
I have put the tv on for a bit to try and distract but then start worrying “ again” .
I am planning on starting a journal next week I think so that might help me !!
And thank you for replying0 -
Hello @mistakes65
Welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear that you are finding the waiting hard. Why don't you join us over in the Coffee Lounge? We play games, have general debates and get to know each other
Journaling is a great way to help any anxieties. I also like that it becomes a diary to look back on.
When I wasn't well, I started researching my family history. It is honestly the never ending project! Would that be something that'd interest you? Would you daughter get involved it that too?0 -
Thank you for replying .
unfortunately she won’t do anything her mental health is bad so she has lost interest in everything .
yes , I thought writing things down might help a little .
thank you for your response0 -
It'll be great to store ideas away for when her mental health improves
I hope the journaling works for you!
