Hi good morning everyone, I have been awarded PIP which is good news, but also I'm very disappointed and very sad as I only awarded the Standard DL with 11 points and 4 points on Mobility which on both I think I should scored more points as I'm struggling alot. At least on DL I was expecting to scored Enhached but on my Award Decision Letter is stating 11 points which I think is unfair and should scored more then that and at least Standard on mobility if not Enhached. I have requested for MR I called the DWP and the advisor did it through the phone, I thought it would be through the forms but the advisor did it through the phone , during my claim for PIP I provided all of my medical evidence to support the application now i dont know what else evidence to sent , and now also I'm wondering as the MR was through the phone can I still sent a statement of my self whith what I agree and disagree ?? I'm so worried and anxious ,I don't want to lose what I have got but they scored me so less for my current condition which I think is wrong and unfair.

I advise you send in an MR request in writing, as soon as possible. Payments will continue until a decision is made, this usually takes 2-12 weeks.2

@bg844 sorry I'm little confused so the advisor from DWP she did it through the phone so you saying to sent also on writing as well right ???0

They are call centre staff, not advisors. You should never ring to request the MR, it should always be put in writing. You should state where and why you think you should have scored those points. If you didn't give a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies then you should do that. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.Do you fully understand the PIP descriptors and what they mean? It's always helpful to have a better understanding because it's very easy to think you should have score X amount of points, when it may not be possible. Likewise it's also easy to underscore yourself. Have a read of this. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria

I'm completely lost shall I sent a written form ASAP as well as @bg844 said .0

You don’t have to download the form. Not everyone will have access to a printer for the forms. You can just write a letter and include the information I advised.1

Ok @poppy123456 I would do as u adviced as I don't have to much more to give as evidence I'm thinking to attach few recent appointments and 2/3 recent letters from my doctor and the wrriten letters where I think I sould scored more and disagree and why .0

Medical evidence isn't really needed. Sending multiple pieces of evidence all saying the same thing isn't helpful either. Less is often more.Did you read the link i posted above?0

@poppy123456 yes I did read little bit ,was little busy hopefully I will read at night when kids will be sleeping, and I will start writing everything as u suggested. So i can sent it on Monday/Tuesday ASAP as I don't want to be late .0

Hello Sweet_StrawberryJust to add to Poppys advice you must include your name and national insurance number on every page of your MR letter and on any supporting evidence you include.Nasturtium1
