Hello so I applied for pip October 2021 and got declined so did a mandatory reconsideration Ann got declined again so I appealed again anyways went to tribunal and I was in there they said go wait outside for 5 mins while we talk came in and they said you have been awarded high daily living and normal mobility said I would get back pay I’ve worked out how much anyways it’s been 4 weeks tomorrow I went there I recived a message this morning at 8:54 on Sunday 18th from Dwp it’s same number I’ve had messages about cost of living from and pip saying
We tried to call you about your successful Personal Independence Payment appeal but were unable to speak to you. We will call you again on 18/06/2023 between 09.00 AM and 03.30 PM.The number may show as unknown or begin with 0800.
is this normal I’ve not had any missed calls my signals not the best but no missed calls do they usually call and from the date of tribunal how long does it take for a back pay Soneome said 4-6 weeks is that from when u win the tribunal so mine was on the day or when pip log it on the comment as 2 weeks after I had to ring up to change number and women said they Hurd back from tribunal saying I should be awarded pip but now manager had to count points and do report on system how does it work ?

It can take up to about 8 weeks to receive the money they owe you and the same time to put your award into payment. The reason they want to speak to you is because they want to ask if you've either been in prison or hospital since your claim started. These are the standard questions they ask after a Tribunal win and before they pay what is owed. Once you've spoke to them it shouldn't be too long before it's put into payment.0

Hi @chantelle19 and a warm welcome to our online community, it's great you found us!
Well done on persevering and getting a successful outcome at tribunal. That's no mean feat and is great to hear
I can see Poppy has answered your question, and in the meantime I've moved your thread to our PIP, DLA and AA category and amended the title to help others spot it more easily.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
