I don't know that you can do anything other than wait for a council property to come up- the council can't give you something which currently isn't available.

Waiting time often counts within the housing system so hopefully when something does become available, you are in a strong position.

Hello @just4once thanks for the update, I'm sorry to hear there's no suitable housing at the moment for you, if you are struggling with feelings of stress and anxiety, please don't hesitate to reach out for help.

Unfortunately, there is a shortage of council and housing association homes in most areas.

You could be on the register for months or sometimes years even if you're in a priority group.

You can find out about other housing options while you're on the waiting list on Shelter's website. I'd encourage you to contact them for support as well.

Are you bidding on suitable properties? Being in Band A could still mean you're waiting quite sometime.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

My council does not have a bidding system so either waiting for them to build homes or someone dies for one to become available

Can I ask, does your council just go down a list or do they contact you when one is available, so you have the chance to see if it suitable to your needs?

I have no idea to be honest they already know that I need access currently there are 16 steps to my front door at a four and a half foot gradient it’s extremely difficult for me due to my disabilities including osteoarthritis in my left knee which gave way a few weeks ago so now have a broken right wrist and a boot on my right foot on top of my cptsd and autism
