A little advice needed

Hi, I’ve been off work for 10 weeks, unfortunately,  I had sepsis and pneumonia, which has brought Adult Onset Stills Disease (AOSD) as a child I had Stills Disease, which affects every joint, especially my knees so getting around is not easy, I have never claimed for PIP although I have been told to before because I have a couple of other going on that require constant hospital treatment, currently I’m getting SSP and I will not be able to go back to work full, for sometime yet, so I was just wondering what are my chances are of receiving PIP and mobility PIP, I have listed below the problems I have:

Adult Onset Stills Disease, affects all joints making my mobility very restricted, obviously some days are better than others. I have had double hip replacement on my right leg and a hip resurface on my left leg, this was caused by the weakening of the joints over the years because of the Stills Disease 

Asthma, after having pneumonia this has impacted on my Asthma.

I am having 2-3 operations a year on my vocal chords, this has been going on for a few years now, it’s got to the point that people can’t hear me when I speak, I get embarrassed when I talk to people and find it hard to have any conversation, this has a big impact on my day to day live.

Like I say just after a little advice, if it’s a good idea to apply for PIP and PIP Mobility, any advice would be appreciated.

PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis. It's how those conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities. As we don't know exactly how your conditions affect you then it won't be possible to tell you whether you could score enough points needed for an award.

PIP has 2 parts, daily living and mobility. You need to score at least 8 points for standard award or at least 12 points Enhanced. Daily living and mobility are added up separately.

You could get some expert advice before applying to see if there's any entitlement. This way you'll be able to tell them about your health conditions and how you're affected and they will be able to advise you.
