My husband receives new style ESA support group contributory benefit (non means tested as we have savings) for over a year now. He reaches state pension age 66 in a few weeks time but has been made aware he can defer taking it till later f he wants to. So as to help him decide what to do can anyone tell me 1) Does his ESA stop when he reaches 66 his state pension age? or 2) does it only stop when he draws his state pension? or 3) Does it continue to be paid after drawing his state pension?

2) Whether or never he draws his State Pension makes no difference to the ESA.
