Tenancy length and Universal credit

Hi,
I am currently in discussion with a potential live-in landlord for a shared housing arrangement, they have asked me how long I would want the tenancy for. I haven't done this before (nor have they) and I would be applying for the universal credit housing element (reporting a change in circumstances) Does type/length of tenancy affect whether I get the housing element or not?
Thanks

No, but if the landlord is a relative then you may not be eligible.sky982 said:I would be applying for the universal credit housing element (reporting a change in circumstances) Does type/length of tenancy affect whether I get the housing element or not?0
