I have just got married but she has not moved in yet. That will be in a few weeks time.

I am on pip and esa.

Do I need to inform pip and esa people that I have got married?

Thank you for helping out

No, getting married is not a change of circumstances that needs to be reported. When she moves in if any part of your ESA is Income Related then you'll need to report the changes to them.

Your PIP will remain the same and you do not need to report the changes to them.

Does she claim any benefits herself? If so, which ones exactly?

Is your ESA Income Related or contributions based/new style?

    It is income based

That means when she moves in with you, you need to report the changes to ESA. If she works more than 24 hours per week your Income Related ESA will end. If she works less than 24 hours per week then £20/week of earnings will be disregarded, anything more than this will reduce your ESA £1 for £1.

If any part of it is contributions based this will not be affected. It would be worth you using a benefits calculator and putting both your details into it to see if there's any entitlement to Universal Credit. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator

If you're unable to use the calculator then i'd advise you to speak to a local advice agency for a full benefits check on your joint circumstances.
