Hello everybody, I had a STROKE on March 2022, my left side being affected. I leave alone, my daily leaving is a very challenge. I still waiting the PIP decision. I'am in UC and got LCWRA, need to know what I doing if they award me the PIP. Thank you for your help.

Sorry but i don't quite understand your question. Just to give you some information, PIP is a different benefit to UC so if awarded it will be paid as a separate payment every 4 weeks. Decision timescales are anything up to 12 weeks once the assessment report is returned to DWP.

Sorry to tell you but DWP make the decision for pip and pip is a department that is in the DWP ! So they do know if you receive Pip but it doesn’t matter regardless so anyone tells you otherwise is wrong please feel free to check this out as I have0

And you still receive the lwcwra along side pip as pip is to help people with their daily needs0

Also many people are on the same level as you hopefully wen you get pip which surely you will if get lwcwra and you will get the back pay before the letter and you can always ask for a update on pip it’s not a problem asking them0

Claiming LCWRA doesn't automatically entitle you to PIP. The only ones that are automatically entitled to both are those that are claiming through end of life with a diagnosis of 12 months or less.leeds said:hopefully wen you get pip which surely you will if get lwcwra

Hello @debercy and welcome to the community.
If you are awarded PIP, you should let UC know. But don't worry as it won't change your LCWRA and you can continue to get UC LCWRA and PIP at the same time.
